SuperKids (Grades K – 2)

The Superkids Reading Program captivates students from the start with tales of the Superkids. These relatable characters and their ongoing adventures provide an engaging and cohesive framework for literacy success.

This proven-effective program follows a unique systematic and explicit instructional path through engaging, increasingly complex text.

The Superkids Reading Program lessons incorporate all aspects of reading and the language arts, integrating and overlapping skills from unit to unit and grade to grade. Following a unique, systematic, and explicit instructional path, Superkids builds the essential foundation for efficient, fluent reading and effective comprehension that primary students need. 

Houghton Mifflin Journeys Program

Grades 3 – 5

Journeys is a reading program designed to meet the diverse needs of all students by using a balanced literacy approach. Students will progressively learn and develop different skills related to phonemic awareness, phonics, vocabulary, fluency, and reading comprehension.  

Grades 6 – 8

William Shakespeare

A multi cross-curricular approach is used to teach literacy in the middle school. Students study novel units that also incorporate concepts and units of study taught in Social Studies, Religion, and Science. Works from Shakespeare are studied in the spring and the students put on an annual Shakespeare Festival for the younger students to enjoy.

World Book Encyclopedia Online

World Book is a multimedia platform that allows students to have access to thousands of excellent articles, stunning images, videos and interactive maps that are constantly updated. Students have access to this wonderful resource anytime, anywhere- at school and at home.
