How to Apply
Parents gain peace of mind dropping off their children in a welcoming classroom every day. Your child’s spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical growth is of paramount importance. Applying for the 2022-2023 school year? Get started by clicking the button below! Our first round of applications were due December 15, 2021. We will continue with rolling admissions as space allows.
Applications are considered incomplete without the supporting documentation and application fee.
The online application will ask you to upload the following documents so please have them prepared before you get started:
- Original Birth Certificate (original must be presented to the School Office for proof of identity as part of the admission requirement; a copy should be uploaded with the application)
- Baptism Certificate copy
- Current Immunization Record (upload with application – may upload in place of VA School Entrance Form)
- VA School Entrance Health Form (if accepted, please provide this form dated after June 15th of the year attending)
Complete and return the forms listed below to the School Office (these may also be returned via email or mail):
- Preschool Information Request – For applicants going into Kindergarten
- Teacher Recommendation Letter – For applicants going into Grade 1-8
- Student Records Request
- Extended Day Interest (optional)
When applicable, please be prepared to include:
- IEP Information
- Custody Agreement
An application fee of $150 per child is simultaneously due with your application. Fee may be remitted in person when the original birth certificate is presented to the school office or mailed to 46633 Algonkian Parkway, Potomac Falls, VA 20165
**No applications may be processed without receipt of the application fee. Please note, this is not a registration fee
Family Interview & Student Screening
All incoming Kindergarten-2nd Grade applicants will be asked to schedule a screening before starting school.
New family applicants in Grades 3-8 will be asked to schedule a family interview with Mrs. Canavan as we learn more about your family during the application process.
When are applications due?
Our Lady of Hope School began accepting applications on November 17, 2021. To have your application considered in the first round of applications, applications must have been completed by December 15, 2021.
Our application deadline to be considered in the next round of applicants is February 15th. Applications for 7th and 8th Grade are accepted on a case-by-case basis.
Once your application has been reviewed, your family will be notified by an official letter. If your child is accepted, he or she will temporarily be placed on the class roster. Permanent roster placement is contingent upon receipt of the registration fee/book fee, online Enrollment form completion, and student screening.
In May, a “Welcome Packet” with further details will be mailed to your family. Our Welcome Committee will match you with a current Crusader family to help with your family’s transition to OLOH. In August all of our school families will receive a school packet before the start of the school year regarding uniforms, school supplies, school forms, etc.
