How to Apply
Parents gain peace of mind dropping off their children in a welcoming classroom every day. Your child’s spiritual, moral, intellectual, social and physical growth is of paramount importance. We provide a solid academic education built upon our Catholic identity in a small, family-oriented community. Applications for the 2024-2025 school year will be posted on November 15th. The early application deadline for siblings is December 1st. The early application deadline for all new applicants is December 15th. Decisions will be emailed the first week of February. To apply for the current school year, please start the application below:
Applications are considered incomplete without the additional requirements and non-refundable application fee.
The online application will ask you to upload the following documents. Please have them prepared before you get started:
- Original Birth Certificate (original must be presented to the School Office for proof of identity as part of the admission requirement; a copy should be uploaded with the application)
- Baptism Certificate copy
- VA School Entrance Health Form (Submit this hard copy to the School Clinic dated after January 1, 2024 with required Kindergarten vaccines). This is due no later than August 16, 2024. As a placeholder, you may upload your child’s current immunization record from their pediatrician.
Complete and return the forms listed below to the School Office (these may also be returned via email or mail):
- Preschool Information Request – For applicants going into Kindergarten
- Teacher Recommendation Letter – For applicants going into Grade 1-8
- Student Records Request
- Extended Day Interest (optional)
When applicable, please be prepared to include:
- IEP Information
- Custody Agreement
A non-refundable application fee of $150 per child is simultaneously due with your application. The fee may be remitted in person when the original birth certificate is presented to the school office or mailed to 46633 Algonkian Parkway, Potomac Falls, VA 20165. At this time, we accept a check or cash only.
**No applications may be processed without receipt of the application fee. Please note, this is not a registration fee.
Family Interview & Student Screening
Kindergarten: While applicants may be accepted and registered, final enrollment is contingent upon the completion of a screening in the Spring.
Grade 1 & 2 Applicants: Once your application has been reviewed, applicants may be asked to schedule a screening and family interview with the principal, as we learn more about your family during the application process.
Grades 3-8 Applicants: Once your application has been reviewed, applicants may be asked to schedule a student assessment and family interview with the principal, as we learn more about your family during the application process.
Once the requested application steps have been completed, your family will be notified by an official email. If your child is accepted, roster placement is contingent upon receipt of the non-refundable registration fee/book fee. Parents will also be asked to complete the PowerSchool Enrollment form in the spring to ensure accurate student information.
In the spring, a “Welcome Packet” with further details will be mailed to your family. Our Welcome Committee will match you with a current Crusader family to help with your family’s transition to OLOH. In August all of our school families will receive a school packet before the start of the school year regarding uniforms, school supplies, school forms, etc.
