Welcome to the 2023-24 school year. The clinic is looking forward to seeing all of our old and new students. In the event a student gets sick or injured Our Lady of Hope Catholic School has a full-staff Nurse Clinic. Mrs Duren is on duty Monday, Tuesday , and Thursday. Mrs James is on duty Wednesday and Fridays.

Wellness Reminder from the Nurse
If your student is feeling unwell, please do not send them to school. Our faculty is (and has been) well prepared to assist students who may need to stay home due to an illness of some kind. No one wants their student to fall behind, least of all, their teachers. Please notify all of your students teachers if they will not be able to attend class due to illness.
Parents/guardians have the primary responsibility for the health and well-being of their children. School health services supplement, rather than substitute, for parental care and concern for the health of the students.
Students with fevers and/or contagious or infectious diseases will be sent home promptly and will be excluded from school while in that condition, according to the Virginia Department of Health regulations. Once the student is confirmed to be free of communicable illness by a health care provider, or is fever free/symptom free for 24 hours without taking anti-fever medications, the student may return to school.
Attendance
Please email your child’s teacher(s), School Office, and the Nurse Email if your child is:
- Absent due to Illness
- Absent NOT due to illness (this will decrease the chance that we send you a 3-day Doctor’s Note email!)
- Tardy
- Leaving Early for the Day (or for an appointment)
