eLearning & COVID-19 Updates

On March 23, Gov. Ralph Northam announced that all Virginia schools remain closed for the duration of this past school year because of the COVID-19 pandemic.  OLOH will continue to use Mrs. Pittman’s Friday eNewsletter and email updates over the summer as communication tools. In the event of an immediate need to share information, we will use School Messenger. To read the letter that was emailed to school families on April 3, 2020 from Superintendent, Dr. Vorbach, please click here.

Dr. Vorbach’s emailed the school community with an update on April 20, 2020. It is available here.

Dr. Vorbach provided an update on 05/18/2020: Dr. Vorbach’s Letter to Parents Regarding Fall 2020

The latest letter from Dr. Vorbach regarding reopening, may be found here.

Our Students have completed their eLearning on June 5th. Students used Google classroom and had the skills to be successful elearners. Though our facilities were closed, we still were able to host our traditional Talent Show, Field Day, and Kindergarten Graduation all virtually!  The teachers and staff needed the support of all our families to make this a successful experience and we are so grateful for our amazing community!

Bishop Burbidge sent a special message to the Diocese of Arlington’s families and teachers:

We might not have been able to be in our school building but learning continued for Our Lady of Hope Crusaders only three days after school buildings closed for the year. We are so proud of our eLearners!

Our Office Staff will be available onsite Tuesdays and Thursdays from

9:30 AM – 12:30 PM and anytime at school@ourladyofhope.net

As soon as there is more news from the Diocese of Arlington, state and county officials, we will be emailing our parents regarding plans for the 2020-2021 School Year.
